The insurance broker recomposes its capital and returns to the control of its director Yoann Chery with the help of LT Capital. The group has a turnover of €20m. The MBO led by Crescendo Finance is based on moderate bank debt co-arranged by Société Générale and Banque Populaire Val de France and is part of the exit of three individuals: Alain Audouy, Jacques Pelletier and Pierre Dhers. The trio had acquired 75% of the capital of Asqua Leader Assurances in July 2013, when their brokerage firm Asqua BTP merged with that of Yoann Chery, Leader Assurances.
Alain Audouy, Jacques Pelletier and Pierre Dhers thus regained their independence within Asqua BTP (approximately €1.5m in turnover), while Yoann Chery took a very significant increase in control of the former Asqua Leader Assurances, which was renamed Groupe Leader Insurance. A minority shareholder beforehand, RMS Courtage is also involved in the operation. With several brands, including Leader Souscription, Leader Assurances and Batirisk, Groupe Leader Insurance, which collected nearly €100m in premiums in 2017, is enjoying very strong growth momentum. Its business has in fact grown by 30% per year for the past two years.
