Diplomatico Mantuano is the accessible entry into Diplomatico's aged rum range — a blend of pot still, column still, and batch kettle rums aged up to eight years at the La Miel Distillery in Venezuela, selected from the same multi-still production environment as the flagship Reserva Exclusiva but presented at a more approachable age point and price tier.

Named after Mantuano, the Venezuelan colonial-era term for the upper social class, Diplomatico Mantuano sits between the white Planas and the premium Reserva Exclusiva in the range — old enough for genuine dried fruit, oak, and vanilla character from the aging, but lighter and more accessible than the twelve-year Reserva. The multi-still production — column stills for lighter grain-based rums and the batch kettle for heavier pot still character — gives Mantuano more complexity than single-still-type aged rums achieve at the same age. Works equally well sipped neat or as the quality foundation of rum cocktails that benefit from aged rum character without demanding the premium of the flagship.
