Crescendo finance advises Asenium on its sale to Freeland

Freeland, the leading freelance services provider, significantly strengthens its position in ERP and CRM consulting in France and abroad, with the acquisition of the Asenium consulting firm.

Founded in 2005 by Franck Bedoucha, ESN Asenium is dedicated exclusively to staffing Salesforce, Microsoft and SAP functional and technical consultants for major international accounts, supporting them in their digital transformation projects. With operations in France, Switzerland, the United States and Brazil, Asenium is forecasting 2024 sales of €30 million, up 11% on 2023, for 10% EBITDA.

With this hotly contested strategic acquisition, Freeland, the leading platform for freelance services, is expanding its presence in the technology consulting sector outside France, following the acquisitions of Consultime, Codeur.com and Freelance-informatique in 2021 and 2022.

The group founded by Hubert Camus and Patrick Levy-Waitz supports 375,000 freelancers and 1,800 partner companies. Its activities range from intermediation to administrative management, via wage portage, payrolling, coaching and training.

Freeland has sales of close to €450 million and aims to become the European leader by 2027, with the backing of MML Capital, Bpifrance and IDI.

“Through this acquisition, we are nurturing major development ambitions. As our activities are highly complementary, this will be a source of numerous synergies that I’m delighted to be able to implement alongside such inspiring entrepreneurs as Hubert and Patrick.” Franck BEDOUCHA, President ASENIUM

Alexandre FOLMAN, Managing Partner at Crescendo Finance, adds:

“The very strong growth experienced by Asenium in recent years is representative of a trend that trend that has been growing steadily since 2017 among ESNs: the multiplication of numerous players using freelancers exclusively, in order to be able to respond in an ultra-reactive, cutting-edge way to the needs expressed by their customers.

This evolution of the market, which is also societal and in the image of other countries such as the UK or Belgium, is perfectly in line with Freeland’s positioning, which has always worked to promote new forms of work. The link-up with Asenium was therefore a very natural one.”
